March is a great time for a post from Christmas, right? And not even last Christmas but the one before that! I only have one other post about Canada on this blog despite spending about 2 weeks in Toronto so I thought I’d fix that and make another one.
This is actually the last post I have about Canada because I didn’t really do many touristy things there. We went to visit my husband’s family and most of the time was spent eating delicious Chinese food and doing errands. Another highlight was visiting Costco…which probably sounds silly to those of you who live near a Costco, but I had never seen anything like it before (everything is smaller in Ireland) so I was really impressed. Plus I just love supermarkets in general.
One of the things my in-laws planned for us was to have lunch at the revolving restaurant at the CN Tower. I’ve been up quite a few towers by now but never had a meal in one before. The food was actually amazing and the view kept me entertained the whole time. I had some kind of maple syrup tart for dessert because CANADA.
After that, we went to the aquarium which is in the same building as the tower. It was my second time going to an aquarium (the first was in Dubai but I think my photos turned out too badly to post). I enjoyed it quite a lot as it was really big and relaxing to watch the fish.
I find pictures of fish from aquariums really boring so I’ll only share the pretty ones. Unfortunately it’s still quite boring but if you are planning to visit maybe it will be useful to you. I loved the polka dot ray, it’s one of my favourite patterns. I even have Adidas runners with this exact pattern lol.
I got to touch this thing that looking back seems to be a kind of giant isopod. It felt nice and was probably the highlight of the visit.
To add to that Christmas in March vibe, have a picture of me in front of a Christmas tree. It is actually quite cool because the ornaments were all related to sea life. Obviously this tree was found at the aquarium.
