For some reason, despite having many not-so-good (and some downright bad) experiences at themed restaurants, I can’t resist seeking them out everywhere I go. To be fair, I really enjoy it most of the time, even if the food is awful. The Comics Café in Brussels is one I should have passed by, however.
|The decor is pretty cool but otherwise it’s not very interesting|
There was so much delicious food in Belgium, especially the waffles and Godiva chocolates (mmm, yummy memories) but the food at the Comics Café was nothing special.

Brussels and Belgium generally is heaven for comic book fans (although many of them aren’t in English, the popular ones have been translated). You can find my other posts about this phenomenon here. So it makes sense to have a comic-themed café. The food is American-style, e.g. burgers and fries. I was a vegetarian when I visited so I had the veggie burger which was disappointing.

Although the decor is quite nice and we had the place almost to ourselves, I wouldn’t recommend it. I prefer to stick to the local food when I travel rather than having “fast food” style meals that you can get everywhere. From what I can recall, it was pretty expensive too.
