Kotori Café is in the back streets of Omotesando
You’ll spot these cuties in the window
I can’t remember exactly how or why we planned to visit a bird café. I’ve had quite a few “close encounters” with birds (they even have their own tag!) but mostly bigger birds like owls, penguins and hawks. This café is home to little birds. They were all very pretty and colourful, I was glad to get the chance to see them up close.
Cute decor and cute food, what more could a girl want?
I’ve read a lot more about this café in the years since my visit and it seems we missed out on a rather extensive menu of adorable bird-themed food. I think we’d already eaten before we went to Kotori Café and I can also remember that most of the food was out of stock because we arrived quite late in the evening. We settled for a drink each and some bird-shaped cookies.
So much bird-themed art!
I love Halloween so this little witchy bird made my day
I’ve noticed many cafés in Asia (Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong to be specific) have cute hand-drawn art all over their walls. This place was no exception. Since our visit was in October, there were lots of little Halloween details too.
Bird-lovers’ shopping heaven!
If you are more of a bird-lover (and more of a shopper) than I, this place has what you need – a big selection of cute, bird-themed items. I don’t usually purchase very much (if anything at all) when I travel as I hate bringing suitcases so I bought nothing. Photos are souvenir enough, in my opinion!
